In this recent article published in the Spanish newspaper El Pais, the General Manager of BlaBlaCar Iberia and Germany, Jaime Santiago, reflects on the situation of the collaborative economy in relation to its disruptive effect. “The socio-economic impact of their innovation is the responsibility of the disruptor,” he says, where the new business model will have to seek a response to the challenges and a new form of service provision that it raises, whether in fiscal, labor or other matters. It can be read here (in Spanish).
Thus, for example, Jaime points out that we are facing a Third Industrial Revolution where it is necessary to assume responsibilities and take advantage of opportunities and, in this sense, emphasizes the need to differentiate between rather collaborative models and models rather than economy on demand or of the platforms, in line with what the reports of the European Parliament indicate.
Evolution and innovation bring positive changes that can not remain on the road due to the lack of adaptation or responsibility of the platforms or due to excessive regulation or inapdated regulations of public administrations.
