Title: Commons Territories

Description: Against the imperative (capitalist) production and consumption model, Civic Factory is built as a space of dialogue, action, co-learning and divulgation for the design and transformation of the territory, from a holistic and interdependent perspective and the logic of the commons. A platform that promotes collaborative dynamics that lead the different actors of the city to share resources, knowledge and experiences to respond its challenges and problems. An extitutional open and distributed model that works, from collective intelligence and citizen empowerment, towards a more inclusive, eco-sustainable and solidary territory.

Title: The Food Assembly, a sustainable and collaborative way to eat

Description: The Food Assembly’s vision is to create a better way to eat, where everyone has access to the pleasure of local food, and is connected to the people who make it. Community is at the heart of The Food Assembly – connecting neighbours to farmers, neighbours to each other, and everyone to their food. Starting in France, and now a movement across Europe, “The Food Assembly” has five “assemblies” in the city of Valencia.

Catalina is the co-founder of “Waycolmena” (the first “food assembly” created in Valencia) and supports the communication of this initiative, a sustainable consumption platform that puts local producers and consumers in contact. She collaborates with the promotion of the OuiShare community in Valencia. Currently she is dealing with the implementation and communication activities of StartUp Europe Awards, an initiative created by Finnova Foundation and promoted by the European Commission. She is responsible for communication of Finnova Foundation in Spain, specialized in innovation and entrepreneurship.
